    Come join us on December 16th at Public Assembly for the December ‘Show and Prove’ competition/exhibition.
    We will also be hosting a Bodega Holiday Party and BHF2010 Info session before the show.

    MaG

    "The future of NYC hip-hop" said Buckwild, famed producer, when speaking of MaG. Hip-Hop/Rap artist MaG, was born and raised in the birthplace of Hip-Hop, Bronx, NY. As he puts it: "I just hope the music I make can affect people in the way the music I listened to affected me. I want people to throw in a MaG joint and go ‘wow, this reminds me of how it used to be….this reminds me of how music is supposed to sound.’"

    St Joe Louis

    After two stalled attempts to release projects on independent labels St Joe Louis go it alone with their first release 30,000ft High & Rising. The title speaks to the increasing pressure to travel toward your dreams and is a nod to the seminal De La Soul “3ft High & Rising.” St Joe Louis is a trio composed of Elete, the group’s producer/emcee along with emcees Tom Chase and Michael Cardigan. 30,000ft features Skyzoo, PH (formerly pumpkinhead), Silent Knight and others.


    Muamin Collective

    Since 1997, MuAmin Collective has been moving their sound politics around underground communities and yo’ mama’s house. Made up of MC/poet Zion and producer/MC aLIVE, Muamin Collective has shared stages with classic hip-hop acts De La Soul, Pete Rock & The Coup and a diverse group of artists that range from R&B/soul in Conya Doss, to Punk Rock: This Moment In Black History and everything in between: Van Hunt. The diversity of influences equates to a diversity of listeners that stradle the globe as well generations. It soul without the neo, but golden for a new era.
