Show and Prove Round Two Rocks on May 20th!!!
Mark you calendars and set your clocks! “Show & Prove” goes down on May 20th! Brooklyn Bodega returns to the Public Assembly for the next installment of its Hip-Hop competition/showcase series.
Show & Prove is Brooklyn Bodega’s premiere underground Hip-Hop concert series where up and coming Hip-Hop acts vie for the chance to perform on NYC’s largest stage, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.
“We started Show & Prove to give up and coming artists a chance to play the biggest stage in New York City. With our 2009 winners, we more than accomplished our goals,” says Wes Jackson, Executive Director of The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. “After last year’s Festival, we knew we had to keep Show & Prove going because there was a significant demand from our Bodega Family. Our post-Festival showcases unearthed the talented Kalae All Day, The Crowd, St. Joe Louis and more. All these acts are proud to be alumnus of Brooklyn Bodega, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, [and] Show & Prove.”
Last year, Brown Bag Allstars captured the Show & Prove crown. Who will prevail in 2010? YC the Cynic? Kalil Kash? Gods’Illa? Problemaddicts? Come out on May 20th and witness these and other worthy Emcees go head to head to see who will earn the right to rock the 2010 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival stage!
MAY SHOW & PROVE PERFORMERS:
YC the Cynic: Coming from Hunts Point, in the South Bronx, YC brings the Hip-Hop scene back to its birthplace while bettering his community as part of the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective.
Kalil Kash: Hailing from New Jersey, Kalill Kash is on the seemingly endless struggle to be heard as an Emcee. No need for him to brag, his music speaks for itself.

Lyriciss: This DMV Emcee has been inducted into a group of elite musicians with URB Magazine’s Next 1000 Program and has built a strong presence as an up-and-coming force on the world’s most credible music blogs and websites, including 2dopeboyz.com, illroots.com and many more.
MikeFlo: While in Atlanta, New York’s MikeFlo linked with U.N.S.I.G.N.E.D., a collective of 5 emcees from different regions. His straight ahead, nonconformist style earned him the respect of his peers and innovative stage performance makes him a crowd favorite.
