From The Daily News… “The Office’s” Dwight Schrute may be getting a huge promotion — to beet farmer.
NBC is developing a spinoff of its hit sitcom around Rainn Wilson’s fan-favorite character. “The Office” show runner Paul Lieberstein is also involved in the new show, which is eyed for a midseason 2013 launch, Deadline.com reported.
The proposed spinoff would feature Schrute returning to his family’s beet farm and bed-and-breakfast — a long-running joke on “The Office.”
