Joe Wilson goes out on Obama

A Republican House member shouted “You lie” during President Obama’s health care speech to Congress on Wednesday, and members of both parties condemned the heckling.
Rep. Joe Wilson shouted “You lie” after President Obama denied health reform would cover illegal immigrants.

After the speech, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst.
“This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill,” the statement said. “While I disagree with the president’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility.”

Oh, may. Somone called Obama a lier, wow this is big.

Now of course CNN did not run a story every time someone called Bush a lier, or a murderer, or a war criminal, or any host of other verbal attacks.

But of course this is not Bush, this is the great Obama. All things are now different, suddenly the media thinks the President should get respect.

Seems this only happens when the President is a Democrat. Thank good our media is above partisan politics.

    Yup, thank god for that.

Heather–no one has ever been so tacky or unprofessional to do that in a house chamber. No matter what anyone thought of bush no one called him a liar in congress while the presiedent spoke. When bush was lying to the american people about weapons of mass destruction and mushroom clouds no one showed this type of desrespect especially a congressman. I did not agree with bush on a lot of things but I always respected him as he was my president and my countrys president. The right is so filled with hate, anger, and racism that they are unable to do this. Shame on them.
